Our treatment approach is the combination of hands on manual therapy & exercise prescription. Treatment sessions are used to address acute or subacute pain & dysfunction when neccessary. Exercise Rehab strengthens & is corrective through movement reeducation addressing any muscle imbalances, postural alignment & faulty movement strategies that affect biomechanics.
Our exercise rehab plans whether home programs or clinical pilates group classes are monitored, tailored to the individual & regularly progressed considering functional short term & long term goals. We recognize people have varied fitness and activity levels & work with varied patients including people with very limited exercise tolerance & capacity & physical impairment to work related complaints & athletes focussed on injury prevention, maintenance & peak performance.
ABOUT PHYSIOTHERAPy.
In Australia physiotherapists are primary health providers in a regulated health profession practicing in private & public health sectors. Physiotherapists typically complete a 4 year degree program covering musculoskeletal, respiratory & neurological physiotherapy.
In private practice physiotherapists may be involved with the assessment and treatment of a range of physical impairments, sporting injuries & orthopaedic complaints throughout the recovery process from acute onset, reducing pain, swelling & inflammation to end stage rehab including returning to work & sport.
Our physio is a full member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association regularly attending professional development courses & seminars.
